Blue Earth's planning and impact assessment experience is with implementation of
NEPA for feasibility studies, site-specific projects, and programmatic actions.
Our approach to environmental planning emphasizes initial identification
of the purpose of and need for the action. Defining the reason why an action
is being proposed is the foundation for all that follows: identification
of issues, development of alternatives, and impact assessment. Effective planning requires skilled project management. Our experience in project management includes managing interdisciplinary teams, coordinating work of technical specialists, and developing and managing project schedules and budgets. Our management of projects emphasizes adherence to project schedules and adapting to client-requested schedule changes to meet changing client needs. Blue Earth staff are experienced in conducting thorough analyses for NEPA documentation in resources areas including special-status species, ecological conditions, visual resources, social and economic characteristics, and cultural resources. Blue Earth focuses on producing concise, readable environmental documents that present the appropriate level of analysis. We integrate technical analyses with pertinent regulatory requirements to provide expert environmental impact services. Our project experience in planning, analysis, and NEPA documentation includes a variety of actions such as: * state park and fish hatchery developments; * abandoned mine closures; * highway and bridge reconstruction; * ecosystem restoration; * critical habitat designation for federal-listed species; and * municipal watershed wildfire fuel reduction. |
